    New Hennepin County website roster tracks all prisoners

    It's now easier to find out who's incarcerated in Hennepin County's jail or adult corrections facility, should anyone want to know.

    Easy web access to the jail roster -- which holds suspects who have been charged with a crime, but not convicted -- has been available since 2005. But now you can also easily find those getting three squares a day in the adult detention facility, which houses offenders who are serving up to one-year sentences. (Longer than that and they're off to state institutions.)

    County officials say the new improved detention roster "will provide a seamless look at anyone incarcerated in a Hennepin adult correctional facility." Ain't technology wonderful?
