Soon residents of Fergus Falls will be allowed to raise up to four chickens in their residential backyards -- if the neighbors don't mind. But no breeding, slaughtering or roosters allowed.

It's a one-year experiment and only 12 permits will be issued. If a next-door neighbor objects -- no permit.
