    Dan Hoxworth named new head of transit nonprofit

    Dan Hoxworth, former head of the Neighborhood House nonprofit social agency on St. Paul's West Side, has been named executive director of Transit for Livable Communities, a nonprofit that promotes "transit, walking, bicycling, and smart development."

    He replaces former TLC head Lea Schuster, who now works for the Transportation for America campaign in Washington, D.C.

    “[TLC's] excellent policy work and strong advocacy is essential to creating a transportation system that serves all Minnesotans and promotes a healthy, active lifestyle," Hoxworth said of the St. Paul-based group.
