Today the Legislative Auditor concluded a narrow investigation of the Attorney General.
“The Auditor’s report doesn’t vindicate Attorney General Swanson. It vindicates staff attorneys who raised legitimate concerns about her management style. We agree with the auditor’s call for the Legislature to review the unclassified status of the assistant attorneys general. Given the same collective bargaining rights as other state employees, the attorneys would gain the ability to litigate cases free from fear and political gains.”
