'It's about the future': On the campaign trail with Dean Barkley
Part Three of three videos
Even without a bankroll or high-profile endorsements, Independent Party Senate candidate Dean Barkley has made a strong enough showing in the polls to make his opponents, at the very least, take notice.
And when MinnPost caught up with him on the campaign trail, Barkley made no bones about the fact that he's in it to win. He also made it clear he's focused on the future.
Speaking in a laid-back, world-weary and slightly ticked-off tone, Barkley made a campaign stop in St. Paul last week, before a most unlikely group of supporters: juniors and seniors at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul — most them too young to vote.
MinnPost has this video report by Roxane Battle and 612 Authentic.
Part One: Sen. Norm Coleman | Part Two: Al Franken
