Karl Pearson-Cater will be joining MinnPost.com as director of operations, MinnPost CEO and Editor Joel Kramer announced today.
Pearson-Cater, who will begin his new job in early May and will report to Kramer, will be responsible for improving the efficiency of news and advertising production, and supporting the development of new products and services that will improve the user experience, build traffic and support revenue growth.
Pearson-Cater brings 11 years of interactive development experience to MinnPost.com, most recently working at StarTribune.com as the product management supervisor in the Digital Media Business Development group. Previous to that, he managed all aspects of web systems and business development for CityPages.com from 1997-2006 as web director.
He lives in South Minneapolis with his wife and three children.
"I'm excited that Karl will be joining our MinnPost.com management team," Kramer said. "In less than six months of publishing, we have experienced solid growth in traffic, membership and advertising revenue, and we have ambitious goals to keep growing in all those areas. Karl's experience and accomplishments in web publishing and his passion for what we're doing here make him a perfect fit to work with our team to drive the next stage of our growth."
