MinnPost introduces world coverage from GlobalPost

MinnPost.com today begins providing a selection of world news coverage, reported by a network of correspondents working for GlobalPost.

GlobalPost is a for-profit startup venture, based in Boston. It has more than 70 correspondents around the world.  You can read more about it in this recent New York Times story.

Thanks to a partnership with MinnPost, our editors will begin choosing and posting one or two new GlobalPost stories a day. The latest stories we select will be highlighted on our home page and then published in full on our site. If you want to read more GlobalPost stories beyond the ones published on our site, you can go to GlobalPost.com, where many more stories are published each week and are free to readers.

GlobalPost is offering a premium service called Passport, which gives members access to special additional content and also a voice in shaping what gets covered. As part of our partnership, MinnPost members at the $50 level and higher can get a $50 discount on the annual fee for being a Passport member. See the details here.

MinnPost.com's mission is to provide high-quality journalism for people who care about Minnesota. Most of our coverage is local or has a local angle, but we welcome this opportunity to present you with our editors' take on the best world coverage from this exciting new global journalism venture.
