SIXTH IN A SERIES
Childhood friends Cullen Donovan and David Schuster are starting up the Twin Cities' newest thrift store, the Lost and Found.
The store will feature items from the 1980s and '90s, including used clothing, music and electronics.
Donovan came up with the idea after working at a thrift store in San Francisco, but decided to return to Minnesota because it was cheaper to start a business in this state.
The two friends have lucked out because the bad economy has resulted in people spending less on new items and brand names — and spending more at thrift stores.
McKenna Ewen is a student journalist at the University of Minnesota. His entire project is available at TimesOfRecession.com.
