One man was killed and another seriously injured at CF Industries in rural Rosemount Monday night, Emily Zimmer reports in the Hastings Star Gazette. Rosemount Police Chief Gary Kalstabakken said rescue crews responded to an ammonia leak at the plant at around 6 p.m., and that the leak was quickly contained.

The City of Austin will now punish people who host parties where minors consume alcohol, reports Mike Rose in the Austin Daily Herald. With a new ordinance, passed Monday, Austin joins roughly 30 other cities and counties in Minnesota with such a law on the books, he writes.

"Efforts to cultivate a 'brand' for the University of Minnesota, Morris and showcase its unique assets appear to be paying off," writes Tom Larson in the Morris Sun Tribune. The article says UMM enrollment "is up 6 percent to a total of 1,705 students, putting the university on the right path to its goal of achieving enrollment of 2,000 students by 2013."

Mark Sommerhauser reports in the Winona Daily News, "Winona leaders have put what should be their finishing touches on an ordinance to limit building on and near bluffs. The ordinance restricts development on even more land than previously outlined, following changes made by the Winona City Council on Monday night."

Pipestone's former Hiawatha Pageant grounds and historic downtown buildings and courthouse will provide the setting next August for a Civil War-era docudrama, writes Debra Fitzgerald in the Pipestone County Star. "Rhythm and Courage" will be the story of a drummer boy; it will be written, produced and directed by Wes Kruse of Superior Wis.
