    Tobacco-Free Kids leader chosen for HHS post

    William Corr, executive director of the nonprofit Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, is President-elect Barack Obama's choice for the No. 2 spot at the Department of Health and Human Services, the New York Times reports.

    Corr would be deputy secretary to former Sen. Tom Daschle, Obama's pick to head the department. "From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Corr worked as chief counsel and policy director for Mr. Daschle, when Mr. Daschle was minority leader," the Times report says. Corr holds a law degree from Vanderbilt University.
