Mayor Chris Coleman hires new communications director
This may get a little confusing, now that I'm spending more time covering St. Paul City Hall, but Mayor Chris Coleman today announced he hired a new communications director named Joe Campbell.
That's Campbell with a C. And he's much younger than I; he's a 2005 Gustavus grad.
Campbell replaces Richard Carlbom, who left last month to be campaign manager for Minnesotans United for All Families, a group fighting against the anti-gay marriage constitutional amendment that comes up for a state-wide vote in November 2012.
The mayor's office said Campbell has worked the past five years for Sen. Amy Klobuchar in her Minneapolis office, as constituent services advocate and, most recently, outreach director.
He starts in St. Paul Nov. 28.
