MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
The other "truth" Christie twisted a bit was when he mentioned how good the GOP is at working to reach compromise. that was a bit of shock...
Not exactly the most encouraging signing by the Twins. And we thought they were going to try and make the team better for next year. Yeah, right.
"And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." (Matt19:24)
I always find it interesting that Ms Bachmann and her Christian consorts focus so much on the Old Testament and not so much on the New Testament, where the words of the person she claims to follow, are more about helping your fellow man and not judging others. And he's not so complimentary about rich people either.
I also...
and of course, Minnesota is the only state in the Union? You're driving in ALL 50 states, Dennis? The forest for the trees...
Like Eric (#2), I'm wondering if quantity should be valued over quality - and what impact are these bills having? are they just cluttering up the landscape or are they actually making life better? For a party that is so interested in getting government out of people's lives, they sure are busy legislating them.
I'd agree Ms. Bachmann thinks she's speaking the truth. I was watching her on Chris Matthew's show on MSNBC, when she began talking about investigating members of Congress for having anti-American ideas. Even when confronted with a tape of what she had said on the show, she denied that's what she had meant.
There seems to be alot of "If I say it, it must be true" kind of thing with the candidates these days (I'm not going to say it's just Republicans, but they seem to be better at...
We the people must take back our lives and our government from the likes of Grover Norquist. None of us cast a vote for this man. He does not represent the average citizen in any way, shape or form. Perhaps he represents the interests of big corporations, but surely he does not represent us. Enough is enough!
I'd guess that Cravaak, being a former pilot, is used to some of the nicer things in life. Seems like an awfully high lease price, even on an SUV. Maybe he should've done the lease in MN and driven the car to DC... Might've been cheaper
"Republicans found time to get the gay marriage ban question on the ballot, and whether it passes doesn't matter. It will ensure their reelection". Don, if this is true, I'm leaving the state. This ballot question alone should get these bums thrown out on their butts, aside from the fact they haven't done their job - to deal with the budget, and oh yes, to produce jobs. I thought that was the big promise of the Republicans coming in?
So much for smaller government - the government should stay out of the business of businss but it sure can be in the business of people's lives...
