SO - the St. Paul cops are warning of mass exodus to suburban forces if they don't get their way - again. Their less-than-subtle blackmail might work if people ignore the fact that 90% of them already live out there in Centerville, Forest Lake, Hudson, WI, Lake Elmo and other points outside the city they patrol. Did anyone else notice the photo at the head of this excellent story - that it consists of either 100% or 85% white kids when some 75% of Minneapolis School enrollees are either African-American, Latino, Asian or another color? Is this not indicative of our insensitivity to the realities of core cities and the people who populate them?
