Thanks for the wonderful story. Fleissner's leadership has helped make Olmsted Community Services a widely-known innovator/provider of social services. Very few people share his level of compassion, advocacy skills, creativity, and dedication to collaboration. It is not surprising that he is at the forefront of the regional service delivery planning. Thanks for the great work, Paul.
"Soak the rich" and "bleed the rich" are comments I read in this article, but they are not comments I've heard voiced by advocates for the poor. I'm left to assume they reflect the author's strawpeople.
I was at the legislature earlier this week. DFL and Republicans alike said, "Cuts to social services are inevitable." Is that the sort of just balance Mr. Downs favors?
