MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
Negotiating via Media fails. I won't write a lengthy commentary about it, but Lock Both Parties in a Room and let them emerge when there is a deal that best serves the Community. Nuf said.
WCCO will continue to fall. It starts the day great with Dave Lee followed by always interesting John Hines, BUT followed by WHINING CHAD HARTMAN. Regardless of how that may be followed by John Williams even he does not have the strength to pull back the people who tuned out or switched stations when HARTMAN came on! CCO is burying their head in the sand on this issue.
Super Value just does not seem to get the price thing. Yesterday I bought English Muffins at Target for $2.19 and then had to stop at the Cub next door and noticed it was priced at $3.49. Chunk cheese $2.00 at Target. $3.29 at Cub. Granola at Target $2.10. $3.50 at Cub. Plus by using my Red Card at Target I get an additional 5% off. The media ads of Walmart vs.Cub are real! WAKE UP CUB. I like your stores much better.
Now they should dump the Whining Chad Hartman and have a "clean Sweep"!
The leadership (School Board, Superintendent and Educational Supervision) in this northwest part of town need to be locked in a room and "counseled" until they understand this is the 21st Century and it is time to move on. I'm 78 and fortunately have developed the brilliance to move on. LIVE AND LET LIVE! We have more important issues in this society with which to deal.
T-Paw is smart enough to know that even Jesus probably could not beat Amy.
SO WHAT! I grew up on a farm in SW Minnesota in a house that had no running water and no electricity. At age 8 I was operating a tractor by myself cultivating corn and soybeans and in plowing season did so until midnight and went to school at 8:30 the next morning. It created a work ethic in me that made me stand out the rest of my life and inspired me to run and own several companies and make more money than I can spend. My father was not ruthless or abusive and taught me to "suck it up...

The greatest event of my youth on the farm was the day we got electricity because of the NREA. Farm life became 25% or more easier overnight, thanks to people like your Dad
Minnesota Republican Leadership is not skilled enough to understand the word recognize or recognize the professional art of compromise.
They need to go back to the playground and learn the meaning of these words and the word negotiate.
Their inexperience is showing.
THE POSITIVE:
How wonderful of these powerful people to step up to the plate to help trying to get the job done.
THE NEGATIVE:
It's sad that the people we elected lack the skills to do their job.
