Jesse isn't all wrong in this case.

If the U,S. District Court doesn't have jurisdiction to hear a law-suit against the Dept. of Homeland Security, Who does?

If the answer is "No one", then we are truly well down the road toward domination by Orwell's Big Brother.

So, who would have standing to sue?

Can I sue the republican leaders for standing in the way of my representatives doing their constitutional duty?

It is WAY PAST time for the legislature to get their collective head out of the sand and START GOVERNING!

Whatever mandate they may have, it most certainly is NOT for shutting down the state in order to protect the top 2 percent.

Paul Udstrand (#28) has it exactly right

We ALL (even the self-sufficient rich) benefit from gov't services every day.

Maybe, as a token gesture, we should also close down the toll lanes on I-35 and I-394 with the state shut-down on July 1st.

This is what you get when you elect people who live by the ""WIN AT ANY COST' mantra.

THANK YOU GOVERNOR DAYTON!!!

It is heartening to know that there is still an ADULT in charge of the executive branch of Minnesota government, even if the legislature has regressed to childish games.

WCCO has given me another reason to stay away.

Tpaw may be boring. He would also be downright ludicrous if he hadn't already shown how dangerous he can be if given a chance.

PLEASE don't try to put him in the same category as McCarthy, Mondale and Humphrey. They were statesmen, and nobody ever accused Hubert of being boring!

Nathan:

If the USA provides "third world" infra-structure and services, don't you think that we should collect "third world" taxes, too?

If we would stop trying to be the "Super-Cop" for the whole planet, we could pay our bills, educate our kids, support our old people and provide health-care besides.

Maybe she was trying to do csomething about the price of Columbian coffee.
