Moderators need not moderate my comment. I have pre-moderated myself. Suffice it to say that propensity for deceit and amoral behavior seem to be the default setting for the radical right. For example, take Newt Gingrich. Please. (h/t Henny Youngman)

Actually, TPaw's performance as governor was truly "amazing," when one considers Merriam-Webster synonyms for amazing:

Synonyms: surprising, astonishing, astounding, blindsiding, dumbfounding (also dumfounding), eye-opening, flabbergasting, jarring, jaw-dropping, jolting, shocking, startling, stunning, stupefying

To which I would add: cataclysmic

Halleluia! There is a benevolent god......

Could I just say.....no, actually I couldn't. This woman renders me speechless. I wonder how the world looks to someone who believes they're the center of the universe.....

Thank heaven for this story! TPaw lives! Owing to family illness, I have traveled in and out of Iowa multiple times over the past three months. No sign of our intrepid "leader." Then I saw his photo on my milk cartons. Been worried sick about the man, I tell you. But knowing that Carol Molnau is in charge has helped mitigate against my distress. Oh, wait. She's missing, too!

Ours is a narcoleptic society with respect to wake-up calls. Even as the calls grow more and more urgent and closer together, this nation yawns, rolls over and goes back to sleep.

Am I the only one who's totally grossed out by these astronomical dollar amounts? This falls into the same category for me as athlete salaries.

I understand that dollars have become a minimum essential, that they provide the big stick for clobbering the opponent. But I am increasingly uncomfortable with what appears to be the need to buy one's political position.

So what's to be done? Campaign finance reform, writ large, and undoing the egregious work of the Supreme Court in...

This woman just bought a refrigerator at Best Buy.

Appliance service was pretty good (female salesperson).

Financial end of things interminable (I've had an account, but they shut them down after a year of not being used, so must start from scratch. What's up with that?!). Funny, because as their computers were relatively FUBAR'd, I stood looking at the Geek Squad desk. Geek, heal thyself?

Delivery went smoothly.

Post-purchase inquiry process totally sucked...
