CEO with or without the Mayo comment reminds me from the sixties - Jimi Hendrix friend Ellen Mcillwaine and her song..."I Don't Want To Play, I'll take my house and go away"

..except the lyrics would be wasted on this CEO I suppose...what was he on to make such a "dumb" statement? Was he off his meds with such puny professionalism exposed?

I suppose it's a toss-up...who is the canary in the mine here on environment pollution...moose or human?

Flip a coin and watch the slow destruction of clean air and desirable soil, water conditions for the sake of mineral mining etc... with China a big investor in latest developments?

There's a great investor to pattern our industrial strength by...?

Breath in; breath out...way to go, eh, as regulations will be lowered eventually; bowing as usual to industry? count on...

It's probably good this is only an annual affair...otherwise one could imagine orange road cones blocking the bloody arterials; the clogged arteries of Minnesota congressional members in their sedentary occupation?

Betty McCollum's Beef Stew fairs the best in my mind - Nolan's is a chef's delight with it's native ingredients -...but bless their hungry appetites, processed cheese laced tater-tot pot the winner?

Comfort food for the soul maybe? Reminds me of a church basement...

A ho-hum moment here indeed, but am distracted by the photo above and the wool scarf tied so appropriately. Cannot help but wonder if the color-coded scarf with its dangling end, is intended as neck warmer, fashion accessory...or could, possibly, even be pulled as a leash or a noose?

Posted on 04/08/13 at 09:03 am in response to Bachmann's leadership PAC could be key to ethics investigation

...is there not certain wild outbursts that have been the nature of Bachmann rhetoric for some time...and the irrational screams coming from the hysterical behavioral rants of Kim Jong recently?

When will Bachmann be recognized and held responsible for her irrational outbursts and abuse of office?

These are two public figures that share a certain mindset...with different motivations, but?...

"We have doomed the wolf not for what it is but for what we deliberately and mistakenly perceive it to be...the mythologized epitome of a savage ruthless killer, which in reality, no more than a reflected image of self."

"Whenever and wherever men have engaged in the mindless slaughter of animals( including other men), they have often attempted to justify their acts by attributing the most vicious or revolting qualities to those they would destroy; and the less reason there is to...

First time I saw him was a couple years ago. Late January was it on this island strip within the city? I saw him down below from our library window. He was sitting on a snow bank next to the dune path between houses; under the street light...and combine that with full moon over the lake behind, I observe him, white on white against the snow. Only a rare few cars heading down the Point.

He rested there as if he had been there before, watching the night among the human structures;...

"Don't Think you Know My Name"

"And so I am getting old!
Like a tree in the forest
I am shedding branches and leaves, and around my feet
Are enough dry twigs for three English martyrs -
And every son-of-a-bitch wants to set me on fire...

Not important of course; I have to walk out in the snow
In any case. Where else is there to turn?
So if you see me coming, a man of ice,
Splintering light like rainbows at every crazed joint of my body...

Posted on 03/25/13 at 07:42 am in response to Minnesota accepted gambling industry's e-pulltab estimates

Careless concern for a most unique community cannot be too simply, blamed on vacationers. What is happening defines a history of long term unconcern for the 'NATURE" of the Point community itself.

Human erosion - greed and profit for a few - precedes land erosion and over development erosion:

The story of Park Point could be viewed as is one of historical neglect by the city and/or responsible agencies? Call it collaborative failure to care for the beaches that roll out from...

Posted on 03/21/13 at 09:36 am in response to Introducing the Kerry Initiative: a secret, new Mideast peace plan

Sounds a little like Kerry is playing John-the -Baptist to J.C., alias Obama?

Is the delicate nature of 'negotiation' creating an opening or just another closure and no change at all?

Have the settlements and their illegal intrusion on Palestinian neighborhoods to be approved by Obama now...how long can one listen and smile for the sake of red-carpeting; essentially making a farce, a caricature of diplomacy and actuating little credibility on on world stage? Consider also,...
