It has the presence of a kitchen Buddha, a sculptural form from a past era; cast iron with a blue and creme overlay and it becomes a kitchen conversation piece as a stray visitor stops by or a plumber or the gas man passes through, headed down the basement to fix the furnace.

How many years has it been since John Pegors, of the Pollution Control Agency and fellow environmentalist, Alden Lind of 'Save Lake Superior' actuated regulations against the sloppy 'habits' of that same industry?

Can't forget at least a couple of former powerful stewards of this beautiful land and water?
Gone now as Lake Superior watchdogs?

I don't think so...Pegors and Lind are powerful ghosts, come back to kick at the heels of that same industry, you betcha......

Thanks to Ellison highlighting the use and abuse of drone warfare and challenging Obama's support of the same...for what we do on to others, we will eventually do to ourselves - biblical paraphrasing not my intent.

From a bird to a plane to a flying insect, they activate the possibility of a global disaster and a domestic invasion in so many "unacceptable" ways and boomerang back to create another insecurity to haunt us, and one of our own stupid making. We will eventually be selling...

What is the difference between Aladdin's Castle and pin ball...and Military Drone Ball?

Both essentially embrace a virtual perception of power over the action achieved. Pin ball used to cost a quarter - a bit more today I suppose - and initiates the player's ability to activate the machine and power over the machine's action.

In the second instance, Drone Ball requires programmed military training of sorts and rewards one with power over the greater machine.

Along the University Avenue corridor, 1950's, was the home of one grand Donut shop with its production line of donut making facing the street where you could watch it all night long...Krispy Kreme, maybe? It was a time when street cars ran all night.

But best donuts in town were the bakery gems from Dinky Town bakery...cinnamon, frosted or sugared donuts.

Maybe donuts define a new era when hard times come again, and the donut will be the ultimate street meal...who knows?
