I don't see where Steve is saying that he doesn't believe in democracy.

This kind of school yard taunting is typical for many of the so-called conservative activists and this example is comparatively mild as anyone who ventures on the twitter knows. Unfortunately comments like these are taken by average folks to be characteristic of all Republicans, thus the lament: "They think we are crazy."

When the GOP civil war is over, hopefully the more rational side of the Republican...

After all, this is the man who has complained bitterly that:

"Earlier this week, the Joyce Foundation collected another installment on its payment for the MinnPost’s PR services in pursuit of disarming the American people..."

"not only does the MinnPost appear to be selling news to the highest bidder (or, more accurately, biggest contributor)"

Just to pick at random two recent rants on his appropriately named blog, Shot in the Dark.

And, as usual, see his...

"Anderson said she believes Minnesota Tea Partiers will be a beacon of common sense in the 2014 and 2016 elections."

Given what is going on as I write, how can any sane person make such a statement?

Surely this makes Mr. Brodkorb a RINO?

are you referring, Mr. Timmerman?

Thanks for your helpful comments with which I am in agreement.

to this terrible article.

It is obvious why they rejected it for publication.

But one example:

"First, the writers demean Representative Hilstrom by not affording her the title, House Representative, which she earned. (Is this sexism?) Second, the writers omit telling how much of the original "gun" control legislation submitted (some authored by unelected activist, Heather Martens) was plainly unconstitutional, clearly violating not only the Second Amendment, but most of...

should be very embarrassed by what is going on at Globe.

High on that list should be Dr. David Metzen who is the provost at Globe. Followers of the Minnesota education scene will recall that Dr. Metzen was a member of the Board of Regents at the University of Minnesota and even served as chairman of the board and unofficial regent for athletics.

Dr. Metzen also served in the Pawlenty administration as director of the state's office of higher education. There Dr. Metzen...

Thanks so much.

And thanks so much to Osmo Vanska for a wonderful ten years. May you have many more and an orchestra commensurate with your talent and dedication.

But props to you.

You don't stand around with your finger to the wind trying to decide what would be the right thing to say.

Thank you for your continuing service to the state of Minnesota.

wanted Osmo gone. They apparently believe that the musicians will be more tractable now.

Permanent damage has been done to orchestra. As a fan for 40+ years, I have seen my last Minnesota Orchestra concert unless major changes are made at the management level.
