that got to me.

If David had just said "media" it probably would not have set me off. Somehow I have the idea that "news" implies some sort of fair-minded presentation of factual material. I realize that this is a little naive. I won't mention explicitly any organizations that have news in their name but are far from fair-minded.

Right (or left) propagandists both do not seem to me to be legitimately described as "news" media. I just mentioned some obviously right wing sources...

that anyone who has not done so please read the accompanying article in today's

Few would likely mourn an end to Minnesota's high-school exit tests

What is particularly striking is:

"A final irony: Mustering an impressive math score on the ACT turns out to be significantly easier than passing the GRAD. Indeed a number of Minnesota colleges and universities...

Bohoff endorsed by Women Winning.

And she also, according to your article, is a fiscal conservative.

Why wasn't she endorsed?

I am very happy that your organization encourages women to participate more fully in the political process by running for elective office.

It is wonderful that you, yourself, have done this recently.

Nevertheless, I believe that your organization could fairly be described as "conservative" and Republican. One need only look at your endorsees to discern this.

To claim that endorsements are made only on pocket book issues is disingenuous.

But good luck in the...

Does anyone know if it is possible for the public - me - to get an example/sample of the test and what sorts of questions are on it?

Unfortunately some on the right - former legislator Sieben and talk radio host/blogger Mitch Berg - have already been calling for the remaining GOP members of the state house and senate to continue stonewalling on these suggested reforms.

This is probably the last chance for the GOP to be reasonable. Otherwise they will be forced into super minority status during the next election.

Hopefully those with political and practical sense will help to right the GOP ship before then....

In the US we have a policy - and a good one - of separation of Church and State.

Scriptural arguments - such as those above - are irrelevant in this argument. I know this might be hard to believe, but there are actually some rational people who do not believe in God. Thus appeals to him are really not relevant in this matter.

Please stop trying to enforce your own religious beliefs on others. No one is forcing you, or your church, to marry couples you do not wish to.

Planned Parenthood does not commit "infanticide."
