MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
"Fund raising scare tactics and political demagoguery" So who else would the beleagered minority need protection from if not the evil GOP? Accusing others of behavior you are intimate with yourself is classic GOP.
The 1934 law establishing the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, revised in 1968, regulates more than just machine guns. Silencers, rifle and shotgun barrel length, bore size (less than .5 inch unless a shotgun), hide-able guns in brief cases, etc. So the 2nd admendment has already been trashed, where's the outrage?
What's to stop our present government from extending the list of regulated guns to include rifles that look like military weapons and ammunition clips that hold over...
Thomas, nature has provided us with a variety of individuals including biological and emotional homosexuals. They are a part of Minnesota as much as hetrosexuals. That is something we just have to learn to live with and denying their equal rights is very short sighted. Your rights and theirs are intertwined and indivisible.
A unreasonable sociopath is a redundent expression.
Climate change science is bunk. You vote them in and you get what you pay for. We've been claiming and denying for decades now. Evidence is presented and ignored, antidotal stories and news stories abound and yet we can't afford to educate the children about their future. Intelligence is no longer hip and science is bunk. Who knew?
As if we the people have anything to say about this gift to the billionaires. With great wealth comes more great wealth. It's the American way, so just shut up and enjoy.~
Funny there's no architect in the state that couldn't have added enough luxury boxes to the old dome to satisfy the bottom line. Wipe out some of those cheap seats and put in expensive corporate party rooms. Who knew that would be so hard.
These comments make me wonder. Mr Bolin how is pushing Republicans to recognize climate change a bad thing, moving his party in the wrong direction?
And Mr Tester's comments about how we could make small changes in lifestyle to help the climate change personally seem to me appropriate and on the money. It doesn't have to be a green thing.
Just because we don't all agree on everything political is no reason to ignore any suggestions to help solve the problem.
I'm looking...
Regulating corporations, what heresy is this? Stop making sense, nobody's listening.
Roger Goodall comes to town and the Minnesota Senate immediately sits up straight and gets to work on the pressing stadium problem. Wiff is not making enough money with his team. Someone needs a billion dollar stadium and we better fork over before it's too late. What if he sells the team to LA? California is rolling in dough and we know how desperate they are to have a NFL team.
Oh wait, they're broke and kinda like the Giants, who knew? Well Durham NC is still smarting from losing...
If the question were simply, do the people of Minnesota want to pay for a new stadium, we all know the answer, NO! The question is how do we get the people to pay for a stadium they don't want to pay for.
If the corporations requesting welfare would just open their books so we can see that the need is real, I would be much more comfortable granting the money.
How many times did the Twins stadium have to die before it finally got built with you know who's money? The DFL governor wants Wiff to have his stadium. I thought it was the GOP that favored the 1%ers.
