I, too, am in the lazy chopper club and it's not unusual for me to take four or five passes over the leaves. I have a LOT of leaves and maybe there are too many finely chopped leaves, but I'm less concerned about the grass and more interested in the soil; I figure the grass can take care of itself but ultimately it's happier in decent soil. I notice the soil in the woods is pretty good soil.

I REALLY needed Britt to tell me everything is going to be alright. I REALLY needed that today.

Goodbye, world!

The Woodbury flags are at a Veterans Memorial. And they aren't at City Centre. They're at City Hall. City Centre is down Radio drive about 1/4 mile and on the other side of the street.

Shown above playing is a player who didn't play. :*) You can't fool me!

Great piece as always. It's enough to help get me through winter....sitting here...looking at the beautiful snow... and dreaming about a day -- not far off -- in which a full squad hits the outside shots...and the inside game flourishes.

It seems so close. and yet...

Let me see if I have this right: It took a month -- a month? -- for the underappreciated bureaucrats to make this decision? How long does it take them for ones that actually involve thinking?

Posted on 02/08/13 at 03:05 pm in response to Amy Koch media saga: Who did what and when

I'm sorry, I'm missing the part of "The Koch Story" that is false. Is Kessler talking about her insistence that it was a power play or is he talking about the timetable and who talked to whom? Because if it's the latter, I haven't seen anyone pointing out where the timetable is wrong.

Posted on 01/08/13 at 12:52 pm in response to Wolves redux: Adelman, Williams and the absence of common ground

As usual, Britt shows just how far above the rest of the people who cover the Timberwolves he is.

This was an angle that BEGGED to be addressed after the performance the other night. There were questions that DEMANDED asking once Adelman started his usual act. But apparently there is this "though shalt not question Rick Adelman" among local scribes by way of a hard question.

Like Rambis, McHale, Casey etc., before him, Adelman needed someone to say "they wouldn't put out an...

I don't know if maybe the analysis of Pek's blowing easy shots is all that complicated. I'm thinking specifically of the game against the Pacers in November that Chase Budinger won with a last second layup, a game that was actually won moments earlier -- 30 seconds left in the game -- when Pek was all alone under the basket, with nobody else on either team within the same zip code.

Except he blew it in grand Darko style. And then George Hill nailed an unconscious 3-pointer to tie the...

I think those CRJ 900s are also being used to provide non-stop service to cities in the Northeast, too... like Albany NY and Hartford. I believe they're operated by Pinnacle, which is a whole 'nother issue.
