If progressivism=communism, would that make Teddy Roosevelt our first Communist President?
I happened to catch one of the morning shows today on which they were discussing this exact question, plus the horserace as reflected by the latest poll. My thought was "good god, do we have to endure 200 more days of this nonsense?"
It's still hard to believe, in the face of ongoing service cuts & tight budgets, there are politicians who prioritize a subsidy to the NFL over our citizens' healthcare, education, or even the infrastructure that we all rely on. It is time to put this ridiculous issue to rest & focus on the proper role of government.
The absolute numbers are irrelevant; but watching the trends in the polls will be interesting.
It's fair to note that the poll is of all adults, thus reducing it's value as a prediction of the final score in Nov. But it's likewise disingenuous to claim a poll today of 'likely voters' has any more predictive value. Instead, where both polls are more useful is in trend analysis. Recent polls have been showing a bump in support for the incumbent, and slippage for the challenger. The GOP, overall, is also going through a low spot. What will be worth watching is whether WMR can now...
I wonder what the margin of error is on that subset of the population who has no strong opinions of BHO or WMR. And how likely are they to vote?
If the U's poly-sci curriculum doesn't require an ethics class, I'd recommend Mr brodkorb consider taking one as an elective.
What an utter disappointment. Is this really the best use of multiple blocks of downtown real estate & a half billion dollars? I am disgusted.
For santorum's base SCOTUS appointments trump 'obamacare'. The former may yet eviscerate the latter... The question is how much of the MI vote is evangelical. He may yet pull out a win there & be an ongoing headache for establishment Rs.
I was just thinking that too: put Collins on midday.
