MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
Rosalind, it sounds like the Republican effort to suppress reading library books has begun, though it looks to be without its own Constitutional amendment. I'm glad to hear you were able to outwit them.
This is a corollary of the Republican "so what if we're incompetent, we're against government anyway" maxim.
29% of Filet O' Fish customers are on the Pill.
Mr. Tester's comment in #1 is a tour de force exposition of all three points made by Mr. Sparber in his commentary, and may have the unfortunate effect of making the article unnecessary entirely. I read Tester's comment with wonder as he reduced these points to their vital and personal essence. Brilliant!
Thanks for the list! I agree with #1.
Malena Handeen put out an album early this year. The Field of Medicine, I think was the title, and can be found under that name at Facebook. A Minnesotan who deserves more attention. The song "Quiet" is a fine example, but sure doesn't represent all on the album.
I also am appreciating the new Wilco album as I continue to listen.
Re: #9, PZ Meyers teaches at a university because he is qualified to do so, regardless of his opinions and activities outside of the classroom.
Dennis Tester at #31 and elsewhere, you write some of the finest self-refuting paragraphs to be found anywhere. Your consistency is also admirable.
The Soucheray "problem" is not him, but that there is a strong market for his special brand of (feigned) ignorance and outrage.
Re: #1, that portion of the joke is ruined if it has to be explained to you.
Thomas Swift, please tell Minnpost readers something about the last time you were in a Minnesota public school classroom.
