I don't get the point of "regionalism" from St. Paul's perspective either. St. Paulites don't generally consider themselves Mpls folks, the two cities have very distinct histories and identities. Seems to me St. Paul has nothing to gain from participating in "regionalism" unless they want to be a MPLS suburb. The East metro could stand on it's own as a relatively healthy mid-sized city (1,250,000 population, and enough of a corporate tax base). Mpls (to deal with their apparent prom...
