Neal, I have no trouble understanding what is meant by "creating safe spaces for gay and lesbian students". It's plain and ordinary English, with an unambiguous meaning. No translation needed. What language is "multicultist euphemisms"?

Posted on 12/15/11 at 10:18 am in response to CDC study: 22% of Minnesota women have been raped

Thanks, Dennis, for that typically insightful and compassionate observation. I'll bet you know at least 10 women. Doesn't it bother you in the least to think that two or three of them are likely the victims of rape, and even more are victims of sexual violence? Is that what it means to be a "conservative"?

These statistics are truly horrifying, and bear out what we've been hearing for years, not just from pundits and the media, but from carefully-conducted studies, and from the...

If she's frequently on the tip of Obama's spear, Bachmann needs to seriously rethink her approach to politics.

@Tester #10 "Well here's a political psychology factoid for you: those who first bring up the subject of race are most likely the actual racist in the conversation."

First, a nit: I think you mean "factlet" not "factoid," unless you are (correctly) implying that your premise is counterfactual.

In any event, I always get a laugh from this particular bromide of talk radio. Certainty, this would make MLK a racist, as he often talked about race, as well as A. Lincoln, who freed...

There is truly a sickness in the minds of those who slander the souls of children who have taken their own lives, and their loving parents, in order to absolve bullies and the adults who support them of all responsibility for civility, respectful behavior and, in the case of the school districts, the obligation to provovide a safe learning environment for children.

Neal, when you proport to speak for "[we] Jews," you certainly are not speaking for a single one of the many wonderful...

Anthony Hardwick is apparently a movie fan:

Would that job Michele is raving about be the IRS gig she had for a few years?

Posted on 11/11/11 at 02:00 pm in response to Bachmann Doctrine: Her foreign policy views

Does Bachmann really think it's up to the military to decide when and if our nation fights wars? There's a huge difference between listenning to the military when it comes to war-fighting strategy and tactics, and making the decision to engage in warefare. The latter is the sole responsibility of our civilian government. It cannot, and must not, be abdicated to "the generals". Sadly, I get the distinct feeling that Bachmann fails to understand this.

Since you asked, Tom, Michelle has missed 328 votes in her career (4 years, 9 months), putting her in the 94th percentile. Betty has missed 216 votes in her career (10 years, 9 months), putting her in the middle of the pack. Isn't it nice to have a representative in MN4 who actually shows up to work at the job taxpayers pay her to do?

"As a skilled fisherman, Pawlenty knows all about [telling tall tales]." I get a feeling that the word "truth" is going to get quite a workout in the course of his campaign. Wonder if he will trademark it?
