"I get your point new

Holbrook stated:
"...the greatest voter fraud in Minnesota has been committed by the Republicans who claim to be adults in order to vote."
You call that "civil"?

When one sets up straw man arguments based on twisted perceptions such Krasnoff did, then he has no right to expect respect for those statements. There is nothing to compromise on when...

Posted on 06/08/12 at 09:29 am in response to Attacks on ALEC undermine efforts to reach common ground

What ALEC is more than even really conservative is aristocratic. Its sole purpose, which can be directly and clearly traced by its actions, is to increase the power and wealth of those already wealthy by the application of huge amounts of political moneys. The blather of its public statements is simply a smear job to cover for its real purpose.

Actions speak louder than words and the actions of ALEC are crystal clear even if not meant to be.

I am very tired of the...

Definitely not cleared up. It was the VP's computer that was fingered not the administrative assistant's computer, which would have had another IP address entirely.

It is also pretty hard to believe that the cleric would be doing more or less routine work on an executive vice president's computer and just accidentally insert her boss's name as CEO in a totally alien website. Far more likely the ID number to Count Them All Properly Inc was already on the boss's computer, and it...

One thing that will bear watching is how carefully other GOP state organizations will guard against this very sort of fiasco replacing their own established control, that and how the national GOP structure assures that the Minnesota example does not spread. The Minnesota GOP, already in disarray, got caught flatfooted here. It was a special case in Minnesota and that should assure that it is not allowed elsewhere in the hierarchially heavy GOP across the country.

That is the follow...

Managing and directing quality control is management's primary responsibility. If schools are not performing up to standards, it is a higher quality management on the ground in those schools that is needed.

Strong and combative unions are always a response to poor management. Ungrade the administrators who are making the bigger salaries in the first place and force them to do the jobs they are shirking on first. No amount of vacuous griping about unions will have any effect until...

Not everybody watches or follows professional football, but everybody pays to support the millionaires on both sides of its management and that adds to the cost of shopping in the special tax district. No one calculates the lost sales that result.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why the Minnesota Tea Party is not screaming its head off over this, but they are missing in action on this proposed governmental outlay. There is definitely opposition in Minneapolis, though, that...

Tim,

When they start throwing around terms like anti-Christ, there's your answer. They don't need to have anything more than a religious dogma behind their statements, not in their own minds. Facts don't count against blind faith. What they are practicing is a heresy hunt.

Posted on 04/30/12 at 10:16 pm in response to Obama video suggests Romney wouldn't have killed bin Laden

In case all of you missed it at the time, the order to the Seals was to get him out preferably alive, but not to let him escape under any condition. Killing bin Laden was the backup option and not the primary goal.

The real point here is that the Obama administration used a pin point operation which is what should have been done in the first place, instead of the Bush wholesale invasion. The big point of the video seems to me to be the suggestion that Romney would be no more...

The role of any government is to maintain social order. That is first and foremost for all of them.

The role of our form of government is general access to individual choice. That does not mean the right to any particular form of property. That stops, or at least is supposed to stop, when it infringes on other people's access, which in the current system has been overruled by powerful interests who get very special treatment.

It is absolutely amazing that some folks...

That conservative "sorry, but..." business is starting to wear a little thin. Ask Limbaugh about the 98 businesses who have told his distributor not to run their ads in his time slot.
