The main benefit of clustering is ignored and not mentioned in this article: that it provides an environment where there is very little need for driving or transit because a bicycle can provide most transportation needs. It is a shame that so few people understand the benefits of bike commuting nor know how enjoyable it is to experience the euphoric adrenalin rush of being the motor.
