Brian,
Now that you have announced to the world your intentions, what makes you think the Archdiocese won't "kindly ask" you to step aside?
As witnessed elsewhere, the Archdiocese is not shy about squelching anything that might challenge them: the Basilica's artist in residence that was forced out over the CDs? The rainbow sash movement?
If you think you can get away with it, great. Just color me skeptical.
(And thanks for the refresher on the Bob Schneider...
BD, you don't seem to understand the definition of a mediator. A mediator does not "stand in" for either party.
And, when will the GOP finally understand that Dayton won election by explicitly campaigning on some tax increases being part of the solution?
Not only that, a majority of Minnesotans voting in that election voted for a candidate for Governor that proposed tax increases as part of the solution over a "no new taxes" candidate.
Combined with the fact that Dayton...
How on God's green earth can something that at it's most basic level is telling a class of citizens "You're not worthy," be described as: "This amendment is about decency and respect, not about hate and prejudice."
The fact that not a single GOPer was willing to stand up and defend this bill speaks volumes.

Seems relevant to me.
The fact remains, Steve, S&P still rates US debt as AAA. There's been no downgrade of that rating. Facts are stubborn things.
Steve, you have your facts wrong. S$P has not down graded the US credit rating. It's still a AAA.
And really, what credibility does an organization that insisted Bear Stearns was fine up until it's moment of collapse?
The far more credible IMF sees a much healthier prospect for the US economy.
"It looks like the Cedar Lake trail under the stadium that connects to the river trail is going to be open very soon as well."
The gate to that by the TF parking lot was open yesterday. I don't know if that means it is officially open, or how far it might be open to, though.
dan,
CR in this case is the continuing resolution, which is the bill at issue to keep the government funded.
larry #37: "Mob rule and thuggish tactics using Nazi immages will do little to gain public support or positive opinion. "
Well, it appeared to work for the Tea Party during the HCR town halls.
The GOP all across the country in less than two months has been on a tear introducing and passing bills that have nothing to do with what they ran on in 2010 (jobs, anyone?).
If people think the Democrats over reached after the 2006-2008 election wins, the GOP is heading even...
