It's been awhile, but I'm guessing Rudy Boschwitz's donors had to pay a lot more than $1,000 in order to get one of those stickers to put on their mail so his staff would open the envelope.

There's nothing in this piece that supports your claim about Ellison setting any price to be heard by him.

As you typically do, you're just throwing something, hoping you can smear him with it.

From what I've read elsewhere, your description of the tax deductability is simplified. That 65% is based on the average health insurance plan cost. So if your employer provides a more expensive than average plan, you will be paying taxes on significantly more.

Mark Shields made the point last night that you have to back to Grover Cleveland to find a President that has issued fewer executive orders.

health insurance premiums have been rising for years. In fact, I can't recall a year when my employer announced that the cost of our insurance plan had decreased.
Why, all of a sudden is this solely the result of the ACA?

Of course, I don't think may people would consider corporate holiday parties to be a "public benefit" let alone a performing arts center envisioned under the terms of the grant or lease.

No mention of the fact that Republicans obstructed and blocked building of the exchange for years, leaving mere months to build, and launch a complex system?

If you tussle with Mr Tester long enough, you'll discover that the only reality he acknowledges is his own experience.

But the Duke Ellington Orchestra is alive, well, and continues to tour.

Ryback said Minneapolis didn't need a referendum on the stadium before hand, because this election would be the referendum. How else were Minneapolis residents supposed to register their disapproval? Perhaps next time a subsidy like this comes up, the Council will follow the law, or, at least listen to their constituents.

It's pretty much a given that other business subsidies will be coming before the council in the future.
