A committee cannot impeach. Impeachment requires a vote of the full House. The committee voted to forward the article of impeachment to the the floor, but that vote was averted by Nixon's resignation.

Obama's daughters will be admitted to the college of their choice, not because of affirmative action, but for the same reason the Bush, Romney, Kennedy, et al offspring get admitted to the college of their choice: They're children of wealthy, connected, powerful families who attended elite preparatory schools.

"Should Eric Holder's daughter get into Harvard ahead of the son of a white truck driver?"

By all means, let's end all legacy admissions.

Former Virginia Governor McDonnell is now using that as a rational to have the corruption charges against him tossed out.

The solution to that is simple: give pedestrians their own cycle at the intersection. Allow pedestrians to cross the intersection in any direction, with absolutely no vehicle movement. Likewise, when vehicle traffic is moving, pedestrians do not move anywhere at the intersection.

I believe Christopher Hitchens submitted to it. As did Chicago shock jock "Mancow" Muller.

Both of them declared it torture after their experience, which was done under far more psychologically safer conditions than a terrorist suspect would experience.

I'm not sure what HItchen's position on waterboarding was prior to his experience, but I do know that Muller supported it until he experienced it first hand.

OK,

So these GOPers aresaying they would spend four years in office telling Minnesotans that the economy sucks (or at least, is in imminent danger of collapse), in order to avoid increasing the minimum wage...

Given that Franken is unabashedly pro-choice, his position on "personhood" is understood.

"Personhood" is only relevant to understanding how radical a candidate's anti-abortion stance is.

Dayton has criticized advocates for not compromising, and says it will be their fault if there is no advancement on the issue.

Where has his criticism and blame of law enforcement been?

Advocates have offered compromise after compromise to law enforcement after Dayton asked the two groups to talk together, and Law enforcement rejected all of them, while making no offers of their own.

Once an employee has earned their compensation, an employer has no more right to tell an employee how to utilize the insurance portion of it anymore than they can tell an employee how they may or may not spend the cash portion. (and let's not leave out the fact that almost all employees also pay a portion of their cash wages to the insurance company as well).

Actually, the contraceptives that Hobby Lobby are objecting too work even earlier in the process, by blocking ovulation. They do not work after ovulation.
