The fund will be administered by Kenneth Feinberg, the Obama administration official who oversaw compensation for executives at companies that received federal bailout funds.

IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF AN INDEPENDENT THIRD PARTY

Posted on 06/18/10 at 11:57 am in response to Two disasters: tornadoes and the oil spill

hello mike
a politcal cronie of obama is hardly a
"independent third party." what part of UNCONSTITUTIONAL don't you not understand.
mike if we put the oil companies out of business and move out of the united states, are you going to ride your bike to work or are you going to make ethenol in you garage from corn to power your car. are you going to chop wood to heat your home in winter. the oil companies are in business to make YOUR life better. if you have not forgot 11 men...

Congresswoman Bachmann is trying to point out that the united states is or was a country of laws. we have a judical system to allow people to collect damages. president obama does not have a consitutional right to demand a private company give his administration money to be divided to his political friends. this is what dictators in third world countrys do and should be condemned in our country of laws and not of men

Posted on 06/21/10 at 01:51 pm in response to Oberstar points to road problem: a shortage of federal gas-tax revenue

i think that people buying energy efficent electric and hybred cars should pay a 50% road tax because they are not paying THEIR FAIR SHARE of road taxes. it is obvious that the older gas guzzlers are paying more than THEIR FAIR SHARE of the road taxes. it is possible that if the highway trust fund was not used for everything from trains to bike paths there might be enough money to repair the roads. do the people advocating high gas prices realize that all products that we use are dilivered...

Bernice
i would like to see if you have knowledge of what you advocate. can you tell me how many mega windmills would be required to take the place of a 1000 megawat coal fired power plant.

hello all
i have a solution to minnesota's budget problems. two large oil fields have been discovered in north dakota and montana - possibly more oil then in the middle east. how can minnesota profit from oil in north dakota. minnesota should eliminate environmental laws to allow private investers to build oil refineries in northern minnesota. oil could be pumped by pipeline or trucked from north dakota and the canadian oil sands. the oil could be refined into gas and oil and pumped to...

after reading some of the posts - i got to thinking that what would the world be like if some of these posters where alive when the wright brothers crashed their wright flyer - we probably would not have global airtravel. what if they where around when three astronauts died in the fire at cape kennedy - man probably would not have set foot on the moon. in the past americans when faced with accidents and trajedies have instead of quiting, have determined a solution for the problem and have...

Posted on 04/15/10 at 05:29 pm in response to Klobuchar, colleagues ready to tackle airline tack-on fees

hello all
is there no end to the government meddling with private business. i think the flying consummers should determine how the airline conducts it service, not the federal government. this kind of nonsense is why the tea parties are growing. government is out of control and needs to be cut back. if the public does not want to pay for bags they will fly a different airline.

Posted on 04/01/10 at 12:15 pm in response to T. Boone Pickens: Tilting at Minnesota windmills?

several months ago t.boone pickens put his windmill farm up for sale as he realised that it was a money loosing enterprise. it now seems he has found willing minnesota dupes - ops i mean investers to pawn off his windmills.
