Posted on 01/19/11 at 05:54 pm in response to New Republican website goes after Amy Klobuchar

Michael Brodkorb was recently highlighted in the Star and Tribune about his dual roles as Republican Party deputy chair and Senate Republican Party communications director. A position paid for by state tax dollars to the tune of $94,000 a year.

"If you look closely, I believe you can see Zygi Wilf with a box cutter rappelling down the north side."
You said it, no me. I read it and agree. Though it is funny how coincident this all is, it is not far fetched to at least question the idea of assisted dome-icide.

Posted on 12/08/10 at 03:16 am in response to Court, polls, challenges: Emmer takes multiple hits in recount battle

No comments is refreshing. I am posting in the wee hours of Wed and the Strib is reporting the Emmer will concede. I find it interesting that the Emmer supporters are so dormant. The reality is that there is just a handful of them that skiddering across the landscape, vainly trying to paint the impression that this state is so conservative. It really isn't, never was and what little canteens of juice brought over from out of state are spent. The watercolors of anti-rainbows have dried...

Posted on 11/04/10 at 12:50 am in response to GOP notebook: Assessing the Emmer campaign and other developments

"Weaver does not support the Dayton plan of raising income taxes to cover the state’s $6 billion budget gap but said that other tax revenue could be in play, like raising state sales taxes, provided there was also a lowering of business taxes." This is what you will get if the Republicans control too much. They know that taxes are necessary, "just not in my back yard." Weaver is advocating screwing the very idiots that elect Republicans in. Shucks, they won't even be able to blame it on...

Posted on 11/04/10 at 12:35 am in response to GOP's saber-rattling Tony Sutton vows aggressive recount fight

I recall Coleman asking Franken to concede the election and it was much closer. Contrast Republican behavior with the Democrats. BTW, don't anyone start calling Sutton fat, he is just stuffed with Emmer ballots.

Posted on 11/04/10 at 01:19 am in response to Pollster bragging rights: KSTP-TV, Minnesota GOP

It is possible that most of the polls were correct and vote tampering was what altered the outcome. To throw out respected polls and go with an obviously biased KSTP is rather cowardly. Tony Sutton is taking the "high ground" and accusing the Democrats of tampering. Regardless of who blames first, do some research, many know that elections are fixed with software manipulation, the evidence is out there. Kudos to Public Opinion Strategies? With an acronym, POS, what an unfunny joke on...

"It states the new health care bill contains no provision to limit benefits based on a criminal conviction and does not restrict drugs like Viagra. It’s a stretch, but in the hands of political advertising spin doctors, Perlmutter voted for a bill that will allow a rapist access to government subsidized Viagra."

"It's a stretch" is Brucato's opinion. According to this form of logic one could cast anyone as a terroristic child rapist based on their voting record. To state with a...

I find it funny that Swifty is getting clobbered on this comment run. Yet, "someone" is there to rescue him. BD Maginnis, whatever you are snorting, start using both nostrils.
Swifty, you made a comment that you haven't backed up:

"We know you're reducing the discussion to skin color; it's what leftists do."

I had to pinch myself and fall back asleep. There was this image that Entenza and Emmer were two birch trees in a wind storm, knocking each others limbs off. But then I realized that impressions of mimicking the GOP were only reality based. It was just the DFL supplying more options than Coca-Cola slots at the supermarket. Caffeine free, diet Coke, may be wet and bubbly, but it won't keep me awake.

Posted on 05/14/10 at 11:01 pm in response to What has WCCO-AM wrought?

I am old enough to remember David Brauer having a morning show on KFAN and the only reason I knew about it was the alarm/radio was set from Sunday's Vikings game. KFAN seemed to be doomed back then, but they did have the Vikings contract. Now it seems that sports radio and right wing talk radio now define success.
I grew up with WCCO and it then defined the standards of radio. Everyone listened to 'CCO. They had the Twins and I was too young to remember what other teams they...
