MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
Agreed. I immediately thought of my brother and a friend of mine. Neither of them make any attempt at a healthy, balanced diet. But they both love to brag about the multi-vitamins they take.
This is the same poll that claims just a 46-40 lead for Obama over Romney. I'll wait to see more polls before rushing to judgment.
The GOP's hyperbole has reached new heights today. Just a sample:
--
Michele Bachmann:
"SCOTUS is schizophrenic."
John Kline:
"a devastating blow to the American people"
@benshapiro:
"This is the greatest destruction of individual liberty since Dred Scott. This is the end of America as we know it. No exaggeration."
@mrjet:
"I weep for myself. I weep for my children. I weep for the end of freedom in America. America has never...
I previously had some measure of respect for Northwestern College, though I don't know why. Now I have no respect for them. They are the ones hosting Exodus International's Exodus Freedom Conference this week. From the website:
"The Exodus Freedom Conference offers biblical answers and hope for anyone impacted by homosexuality."

Were either of those 1998 questions subject to the level of litigation that Voter ID certainly will be?
"my (and other votes) are being cancelled illegally"
What if this hypothetical illegal voter cast a ballot for the same candidate as you? Isn't that good for you? Or are you suggesting that illegal voters only vote for candidates you don't like?
Did you just admit the whole premise of voter ID -- to curb votes for Democrats?
Republicans think Ritchie isn't doing his job because he doesn't like the legislation. They think it's political.
Well, Ritchie is a politician. For whatever reason, some government officials involved in the justice system (AGs, judges, etc.) are elected officials. They are partisan. If the Republicans don't like this, then we should make all these positions appointment-based instead of election-based. Dig?
Or no, wait, they don't want that. Then they wouldn't have been...
Neat ad. That orange color she's wearing was very prominent in fashion and design back then.
My office building was completed in 1982. We still have a bunch of its original, old (but indestructible) furniture. A lot of it is the same orange color. Now, contrast the colors in this ad with the bland fashions of today. And it doesn't seem to me that fashion and design from the last 10-15 years is really all that identifiable. Look at photos of people from around 2000 and you may...
The only way Romney wins Wisconsin is if the Republicans figure out a way to exclude Milwaukee and/or Dane County residents from voting.
Now, as far as this recall, I'm in agreement with Paul. The risks are enormous for the Democrats. The polls aren't looking good -- especially the Marquette poll that said 92% of Republicans were sure they'd vote, whilst only 77% of Democrats were sure. That could be fatal.
I predict a major embarrassment for Democrats as a result of a...
I would agree with you if I thought that anyone will remember or care about those incidents come November. Just because Amy Koch is a total hypocrite doesn't mean those people will suddenly vote for the DFL.
The GOP won big in 2010 because Democrats stayed home, NOT because there was some huge tea-party sentiment as the mainstream media would have you believe. This year, as always, will hinge on turnout.
