MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
Oh goodie, not only has NickBoy re-infested my Sunday Tribune, he's sharing his derangement on MinnPost comment sites whilst plugging his website. He used to do good on human interest stories, but his absolute hatred is kind of redundant on this site, unless it's a contest on who can be more irrationally consumed by politics. You Lefties..Go to church. There are more important things than politics!
When voters register on election day, they are sent postcards to their sworn addresses. Over twenty-thousand of these were returned as "addressee unknown" to the post office in 2008. Has anything changed regarding eligibility for same day voters since 2008? It seems the Dems and their media cheerleaders in Minny (Strib, Minnpost)want to recount till they win, (Franken). More votes than registered voters in certain precincts? No Problem!
Too precious.
Richard, Re: Rebecca: Both houses in Minny were populated by Democrats. Pawlenty was only the goaltender. He did what he could, if Dems had their way, we'd be in much worse straits.
Sorry, I could tell this was a lefty guy from a lefty group by the first few paragraphs. The gentle non-snarky descriptions gave you away Jay! If this guy had ANYthing to do with conservatives or Rupublicans, you can bet this "unbiased" writer would have dismissed them in the first sentence.
I bet it's time to elect people who can zero expenses and make real decisions to fund real programs and services. I remember when I lived in South Minneapolis when budgets were tight. The Powers That Be closed wading pools and other park services. These were the most visible public services and they decried the boogeyman of the moment. Pawlenty, selfish suburbanites, etc. Look to your politicians and their buddies and drag on the budget of your making.
Love the "idiot" comment, Bill. So tolerant.
What a nice, caring bit of advice given to "Repubs" by an impartial journalist. I bet the Repubs will thank you for the sage guidance, Mr Eric Black
Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Backed by barney and Dodd. This made a hash out of real lending. Never forget. And barney got re-elected. Same old Dems, same old problems.
Isn't that why Obama got elected? Because voters thought empty "hope and change" promises would transform their lives? As Dems funnel money to potential voters, protect the special unions and ignore real job-creating businesses, we expect the voters to continue to stupidly vote Democrat? Why? Republican politicians won't make your dreams come true either. They may dismay workers from choosing government jobs or union jobs to give them money for life. Seiu, afscme, etc, etc have one...
