MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
It will be interesting to see how weather plays in Tuesday's election, especially since Dayton is depending on seniors to come out in droves for him.
Predictions are for more steamy and stormy hot weather. Will this discourage some seniors from leaving the air conditioning, and go vote?
Count me as one who would love to see some billboards on Target Center. I have seats along the 3rd base line at TF and TC is ugly. A well placed Miller Lite or KFAN sign would be welcome over what I have to look at now.
Jay, Jerry Bell richly deserves the kudos you give him as does Mike Opat. However one unsung hero in the Target Field debate is Shane from the blog Greet Machine. Although a mere blogger, Greet Machine became THE place for ballpark discussions. I bet even Jerry Bell checked it out (or had someone check it out for him). Click my name or the link below to read more about Shane's and Greet Machine's ballpark efforts.

Jeremy, have you been down to the field. There is no place to put a roof. Even if every single person in the the State of Minnesota demanded a roof and contributed the $$$, Target Field could not accommodate a roof. The roof issue is dead and buried and the wording is starting to fade on the monument.
Charley, i doubt that 3 cents on every $20 spent in Hennepin County for 30 years could "reverse climate change, meet the challenges of peak oil, stave off economic collapse. We could...
There's another route Hecker could take. He could cop a plea. Based on what I have read in the newspaper, the feds have Hecker dead to rights. And it looks like his dead father in law did him no favors. He should plea down his sentence and serve his time.
Petters thought he was above the law and could "sell" his way out of his charges. A 300 year sentence is now facing him, even with his $450/hour team of lawyers. The same fate is headed Denny Hecker's way too.
Considering that KFAN's Paul Allen talked about farting for 20 minutes this morning, there's obviously a need for a little competition in the AM sports talk market.
I'm shocked, shocked that Governor Pawlenty would present budget ideas that are full of gimmicks and more aimed toward gaining headlines than solving actual budget problems.
Tommy Johnson: Medicare and Social Security means $$$ for Seniors. I agree with Bartlett, good luck with that.
