At MinnPost Asks this past Monday night, Mr. Mondale said that Los Angeles has the Staples Center that is shared by three teams and posed the question, 'Why can't any of the area teams share a facility'. Why can't they??
Granted the Vikings are a high level team-they are the biggest monetary draw in our area, but what about the St. Paul Saints sharing a stadium with a soccer team or the Wild and the Timberwolves sharing a facility?

I too, like Colin, am in love with Kate Middleton. She does seem to be someone you could run into at the grocery store or the library. Years ago I got up in the middle of the night to watch Prince Charles marry Diana. She too, seemed like a real person versus the typical 'royal marriage material'.
As to Arvonne's comment, I read the article as one that was focused on the Kate half of the royal twosome. It was a good read, but being older, i have no plans to get up for the early morning...

I sing Don McLean's song "Wonderful Baby" to my grandson. He falls asleep.....don't know if it is the lyrics or my singing that put him there.

paul: i was appalled by your statistics and tried to find something to back them up. although i believe anytime one person is helped through any of these treatments, this is a good thing, i would hope that your 60% and 90% quotes are not the real facts. i have known many people that are in recovery, and have know some who have lost their fight to win recovery. i am certain i know more of the first group than the second group.

concerning Paul Udstrand comment #2-
the building may look ugly now, but in the '60's when it was built, it was very Mod!

it will always be Dayton's to me and i still have my Dayton's boxes and shopping bags. they are icons to me!!!!!

Ms Boyd,
Great article! I sincerely hope the Gallagher's have a Happy Holidays and I hope Mr or Mrs Gallagher finds work in the new year. As for the rest of us, I think we need to send a check to our local food shelves if we have the ability. No matter how small, ever little bit helps.

Posted on 12/06/10 at 01:18 pm in response to Sh-h-h-h! It's time for lullabies and other sleep-time serenades

hi Don!
you mentioned Carly Simon, how about her former husband James Taylor? "You've Got A Friend" with backup singing by Carol King and Joni Mitchell?
or JT singing "Shower the People".
both would make beautiful lullabyes!
i will have to use them!

I appreciate Mr Hawley's review. Have thought about whether or not we should see the Christmas Carol this season. Having seen the show a few times in the last years and thought we should see something 'new'.
With the descriptions from Mr Hawleys review, I feel we should choose this for our holiday treat this year.
