is to protect your constitutional rights. Protecting your vote against being canceled out by a fraudulent one is therefore a valid role of government.

And it's impossible to validate the voter's legal right to vote unless the government requires that the person attempting to vote identifies himself as a legal voter.

We've only learned that the president is a home brew kinda guy in the past week or so when every news organization in the country has run a piece to that effect. Which of course has nothing to do with the polls showing Obama losing the blue-collar white guy vote by 2:1 to Romney/Ryan.

Next thing we'll hear is he's got Springsteen and Waylan Jennings on his iPod.

The Saint Paul Pioneer Press did a multipart telling of the Sioux Uprising for the 100th anniversary of the event. They did it in the Sunday Comics section in comic book style. It was very well-drawn and highlighted the key milestones regarding what precipitated it and how it all played out, but it had nowhere near the detail, depth or breadth that this series covered.
