MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
I'm glad to see that the Washington Post is starting to be more fair on this issue:

Why are you using the word "triumphant" in your headline? Oh, that's right, the media already has declared Obama victorious!
Baker nails it on the head in this wonderful piece:

LOL ... Reagan has been proven to be a very good president and you put his victory on this list.
And in regards to "Christ Speaks," yes I understand the First Amendment angle, but I had a fleeting moment where I thought the wish-we-could-forget moment was going to be the disgraceful treatment of the Lord by a bunch of immature college students. As usual, I was wrong.
Ms. Selix writes, "When I share my friend's story, people are visibly shaken. I've seen and heard enough reactions that I can confidently report the consensus: He didn't have health insurance? What is wrong with our country's health system?!"
I guess it all depends on who you hang out with. My first response was, "Why didn't the guy care enough about his health to find the $400 or $500 a month to buy health insurance?"
Many people gamble on their health by CHOOSING not to take...
Just got back from the movie. Very well done. Thought provoking. Stein doesn't manipulate the film to make anyone look like an idiot, a la Michael Moore, although I don't think I've ever seen Dawkins look as unconfident as he does in the the last few minutes of the film.
Stein's movie is about freedom of thought — freedom to follow the evidence where it takes us. I think it's safe to assume that like most humans, some (many?) of America's scientists are following the (grant) money...
