The U president makes a LOT more than $295K... in fact, he makes more than the president of the United States something like $600K.
Of course the state bicameral (except Nebraska) ratifications required can be bypassed by submitting the proposed amendment to "conventions" in each state in lieu of the legislature. This has been done exactly once, to repeal Prohibition.
@Rus - Can you cite a specific instance of voter impersonation fraud in Minnesota in the last 20-30 years? Because that's the only type of fraud an ID would "solve".
Speaking of American Crystal Sugar's lockout: Rep Ellison and Rep McCollum have both taken $5000 from the company's PAC this election cycle--not exactly supportive of locked out workers.
Switzerland? With universal health care and excellent public services paid for with high taxes? How could she stomach becoming a citizen of such a hellhole?

If T-Paw really believes in realigning the school district and giving the mayor more oversight, then there is actually ONE issue with which I agree with him. Wow. It's working in Baltimore and NYC, I think city-controlled rather than board-controlled schools could benefit Minneapolis.
This is a secular country--the government should not give special favors to Muslims. It only makes sense that there should be no obstruction of facial features or the head.
Minneapolis already has made public religious washing stations and special swimming lessons, and the state supports an Islamic parochial school. I would absolutely oppose a Roman Catholic tabernacle funded with tax dollars, so to a Muslim washing station. Enough accommodation--the time is for assimilation so we...
