Posted on 06/25/11 at 02:59 pm in response to Lynne Torgerson to challenge Ellison again, calls him 'radical Islamist'

I was appalled at Torgerson's outrageous remarks about Keith Ellison, Keith has been a wonderful public servant first in the legislature and now in the congress. There is no one more loyal and dedicated to this country. It is not surprising that she was defeated last time and with any luck will be again. I would hate to have her as my representative.

How wonderful to have the naysayers confront reality.

great article about the Capri Theater. It is always interesting to hear about different venues.

I found your comments reasonable and objective, but I do thing that Abbas would be willing to negotiate,if it weren't for Hamas.

I can't believe the union bashing in these comments.Would that we could return to the days when unions were strong and the middle class had living wages and the economy benefited all of us, not just the wealthy. These people have no idea of what it is like to teach in an urban classroom with too many children, parents who provide no support and a school board that doesn't respect the teachers.

We were in Cuba with an Elderhostel group in 2001, it is sad to see that things have not improved. We stayed in a lovely tourist hotel but the university students who came to present lectures and answer our questions had to be escorted into the hotel by our tour leader, Cuban citizens were not welcome unless accompanied by a tourist. As your article mentioned the people were well educated, the health system was excellent but the only people who achieved a reasonable standard of living were...

The item that is rarely mentioned in relation to charter schools is that they are able to uninvite a troublemsome pupil and guess where that uninvited troublesome pupil ends up.

I would like to protest the manner in which the at large park candidates were listed on the Mpls ballot. We had no opportunity for second choices or we were only allowed to vote for one of three candidates. I would like someone to explain this to me.
