Sloppy Journalism On Display. MN Post Editors - Please post this and the correction

1/3 of Brooklyn Center lies within the ISD of Osseo. So they may vote for mayor, they can not vote in Brooklyn Center School District matters.

1/4 of Brooklyn Center lies within the ISD of Robbinsdale. So they may vote for mayor, they can not vote in the Brooklyn Center School district matters.

Jimmy Fallon Show - Bachman
David Letterman - Sara Palin

When any of middle of the road or lefties complain about the break down in civility in our society, I hope they have the n*ts to start off with this. Instead of some un-known possible interloper at public park rally with a sign.

This would not have happened to a liberal or Democrat on those shows. And, a liberal would not have such things said or played about them on a Fox show etc. It's a double standard...

Posted on 11/01/11 at 06:56 pm in response to 2010 elections results prompting exodus of key DFL legislators

So much to say.

#2 Sandy- less people voted in 2010 then 2008. Political science 101. Presidential years do that. Pogey never compromised. He either broke your shell or you broke his. Compromise with the Gov? Come on. See what the Hamline Professor was brave enough to say about Pogey on the Fox 9 story about this subject. He had harsh words for Pogey's term as Majority leader.

#6 Kudos. They are going to govt policy jobs for retirement without really ever working in the...

For gawd's sake. To all my old friends in the DFL. You don't have a party anymore. The whole campaign in 2010 was funded by her. She fired your party head after the election. Now she is just going to step out from behind the Ozzian curtain and start calling the shots in full view. I guess it's honest. If my DF of L aunts and uncles were alive today........

Posted on 10/19/11 at 11:01 pm in response to Minnesota's school-finance inequities have multiple causes

Beth Hawkins! You have been a good journalist for years. But you missed something or were hiding something on this one. All the work you put into this article....was it for show? Why not take a look at the per pupil funding of the 10 largest suburban districts ( only comparisons really) and then compare it to ISD #1 Willing to bet that 4 of them get by on 75-80% of what Mpls gets. Every single one of them will spend 15-20% less then Mpls.

This discrimination against none-urban...

Posted on 09/18/11 at 02:48 pm in response to Wisconsin teachers retire in droves after union loss in bargaining fight

Just have to address some this point by point.

After the 'dust up'. Some chose to retire.
Answer- Ever met active teachers who are over let's say 56 years old?

Teachers lose more of their take home pay.
Answer - They get most of it back in medical etc.
Not good enough. Time to eliminate all of their take home pay by quitting. Doesn't add up.
How does the children's welfare figure in that setup?

Loss of experienced mentors etc.... Ask the...

New Berlin - Teachers upset about a dress code. Would someone start slapping these idiots upside their heads. They claim to be professionals, they demand to be treated like professionals, SO DRESS LIKE ONE DARNIT. Or should we bring in a time clock next and really start treating you like labor.

Name the employees. I could cut through some red tape and maybe even have to FOI the state. MNPOST: Just name them for us. So they can be shamed.

Doug: You can be a good journalist. But if this was a column, like you used to write. Good work.

If this was a news peice, please review this sentance: 'She decried "scare tactics" in Washington but then said some pretty scary stuff herself.' Your editors should have edited. Is candidate Bachman your GWB and your playing the roll of Dan Rather?

Doug: Straiten up and fly right. You can do it.

Lets just cross our fingers and hope that the Minneapolis Public School Disease doesn't follow her to MHS. For those who don't know the MPS disease usually has these symptoms.
1. Exibits and displays about minority groups way out of proportion to their % of their population in Minnesota.
2. Funding for programs such as education, internships, mentoring that benefits above mentioned. Far in excess of majority population, if any funding of such occurs.
3. That all exibits,...
