Can't vote for you Guv. But thanks for doing this. PETA and all you 554xx gun hating liberals take note. Guv Dayton owns and uses GUNS. The last DFL Guv was Rudy. He was pro hook and ammo. Wake up DFL, drop your gun control human hating sisters and move on with life.

Note to Liberals -
The following remarks just don't hunt no-more.

Voter ID is racist. It passes everywhere, including in your camp.

DOMA Laws and amendments. They were good enough for Wellstone. Calling supporters of such policy bigots, hurts your credibility with all but a few.

The Teaparty is a terrorist organization. Your getting desperate.

Referring to those you oppose as Hitler. My mother and her sisters would say 'thats a no-no'

Hope and...

Posted on 08/09/11 at 04:07 pm in response to The market meltdown and the hopeless politics of 2011

I was watching the kids yesterday. So we had the luck of being able to watch CNBC all day. We watched the run upto the morning bell. Then the crash. We watched the Pres start speaking and the market pedaled water for about 2 minutes. Then he started blaming people for his problems and ours. The market started diving and never recovered. Mr. President if your listening. We need jobs. Not government jobs. Stick your green jobs. How about 100 low smoke coal plants NOW!!! Use presidential...

Posted on 07/15/11 at 10:33 pm in response to What's your reaction to the shutdown deal?

I'm concerned that all of the states school districts just got robbed to take care of the Police Departments, Fire Departmenst LGA of Minneapolis, St. Paul and Duluth. And this deal isn't done yet. Social policy issues MAY be removed. That doesn't mean things like re-districting etc are out. Remember people. Gov Dayton accepted the Republican bill with three proviso's. I believe that leaves the Repubs with three items to be enumerated.

Posted on 07/15/11 at 10:47 pm in response to Dayton: 'I’ve stopped worrying about what people say about me'

Does anyone have some left over polling data. Specifically, something that was commissioned either by one of the following.
1. Gov's office
2. DFL Party
3. DFL Senate Caucus
4. DFL House Caucus
5. AFSCME
6. Service Workers Union
7. HHH

If such polling numbers exist. Might they be informative?

Miller Coors overpaid their bill. Now the state is going to lose how much in liquor tax? King Dayton, call the special session. You may live like a king. But the rest of us want to keep our little castles.

Hey Editors-

Reference - Pic at the top of this story. That sure looks like a city street. Or is it a state street? Anyhoo. If it's not a state responsibility, then lets not show it with a state highway funding article. Wrong impression, or lazy, or sensationalist. Oh BTW. If you do drop the pic, please make note of correction in the comments section with a link to said erronious pic. Thanks

Posted on 07/12/11 at 05:10 pm in response to Gov. Dayton declines GOP request to join his road trip

What they are doing is taking the Saintly Halo off the Gov. Slowly but surely people are finding a few things out. 1. He's rich, finances his own campaigns negative campaign and pays little in taxes (South Dakota). 2. He had the taxpayer paying for his chef. 3. He's erratic. 4. He plays politics in the name of the people.
5. State employees unions were the earliest and largest govt union to support him. Now he's screwing them. Soon as enough people unplug from MPR-STRIB-MINNPOST...

Doug wrote a good article today. I would hope my partisan lefty friends would read the part about the Dem's using the recall laws like they have never been used before(fact). So original sin lies with the WI-Dems. For those who say that doing away of collective bargaining rights for govt workers is a sin, you are wrong. One of the basic rules of a democracy is that no current legislature can pass a law that can't be repealed by a future legislature. The current legislature saw the wisdom...

Excellent Work Eric!
