According to several blog posts, Elliott is not listed in the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice data-base as a licensed physician. I reviewed the web-site and did not find Elliott's name.

Why is someone who may not even have a medical license evaluating psychiatric care?

In the article, Lerner reported Elliott as a physician and this information needs to be clarified.

Eliott may have graduated from medical school, but he is not listed as having a current medical license per the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.

Just like Bill McGuire, former CEO of UHC, who has not had a medical license since the late 980's when he left Colorado.

Neither are licensed physicians if the data base is correct.

MHP, the Hennepin County HMO, received permission from Medicare & DHS to discontinue the MSHO/Senior product. The county has been discussing this since June- when is this announcement going to be made?

Commissioner Johnson should clean up the mess at MHP before he goes after MNSURE.

Why are my tax dollars going to support an HMO with less than 30,000 members?

Aaron Gleeman was told if he is sitting in the Twins' Press Box for NBC, he is not to write anything on his blog regarding the game/press box

I am surprised NBC allows Mr. Gleeman to continue his blog!

What a gift to have your civil rights taken away! The other licensed health care professional boards were not reviewed by Brandon Stahl.
Very biased reporting.

Every other state surrounding MN fingerprints new Nurse applicants. They also conduct criminal background checks at renewal. Minnesota stopped mailing out Nursing licenses a few years ago and never decreased the cost of license renewal. The money saved should have been put into better background checks. MN also stopped their mailed newsletters. Take a look at the Wisconsin Nursing application - nobody is getting licensed with criminal backgrounds or if they have been terminated from a job...

He was a safe choice for editor, but not a creative one. Hopefully, Renee's tirades, will be monitored closely. Gillespie has great people skills and would have been a much better choice!

Rosalind, I am sorry you feel that this program " was to get minorities who weren't qualified to teach on school district payrolls." I can't believe your post got by the Minnpost censor.
Your post is a sad reminder of how racism continues to permeate society.

As the saying goes, when we let our employer's pick and choose what medical care we have access to, we are protecting the private beliefs of a few, to DENY the essential needs of many

I am looking forward to Mr. Kline explaining why he felt the need to co-author and attempt to pass, "forcible rape legislation" with Paul Ryan? Just what we need, another elected official trying to punish rape victims!
