You forgot that the Democrats controlled the House, had a Super Majority in the Senate and held of the the office of the President of the United States during the first two years of Obama's term. It is those policies voted on then that are affecting the economy today. Just as Bill Clinton said you can't fix things overnight but apparently you believe the Republican policies the past 18 mos have had a bigger influence on the economy than those enacted by the current administration four years...

One reason they're not is because of property taxes placed on small business. If you think your home property taxes are high you should talk to a small business owner.

But it would be nice if you listed one reason to vote for Obama.

As someone who doesn't have healthcare, I really hope it is affordable but with all the bureaucracy that comes with it I hate think how much it really is going to cost. Singapore has a private and public option that is affordable, from what I hear. Romney has supported public healthcare, Obamacare was based on it. It was sad to see Mitt switch just to get the Rep nod. Fear mongering from both sides drives up cost. Plus now that Obamacare is a tax, yet another broken promise and lie.

Thanks Betty! You're tackling yet another major wasteful project. No one more than you knows how to effectively recruit members of our Armed forces more than a Representative from the great state of Minnesota. I'm still waiting for you to even offer a suggestion or plan for an Energy Policy, Entitlement Programs (unless its Congress which has its own), affordable healthcare, deficit spending....

Posted on 05/04/12 at 02:50 pm in response to Forbes: Stadium will enrich Vikings owner Wilf, not help taxpayers

The Gopher Baseball team has been playing its spring games at the Dome, including 38 games this spring. I don't believe the Viking stadium will be able to accommodate baseball.

So someone is going to pay Zygi $1.2 billion for the Vikings, you know he is NOT going to give it away. And the new owner is going to move to LA and NOT collect Naming Rights, Suites, Concessions, advertising and PSL income. They better have really deep pockets, really deep. The Emperor has NO clothes.

I really doubt that 1/3 of American School children are obese or overweight. Is that compared to super models?

I've worked as a sub in the local school districts and I would estimate that it's not even 10%. 33%! To balance this out, are there really districts that have overweight and obese rates over 50%? If so where?

So in what way does the NFL subsidize the Vikings? Do they mean the 120 million each team receives from the TV package? Have the Vikings and the NFL open up their books and prove their case.
