Let us remember that our "conservative" friends regard it as religious liberty only when EVERY OTHER expression of religious faith is FORCED, by law, to live according to their own very tender sensitivities.

When they put their ill-fated constitutional amendment on last year's ballot, they never gave a second thought to the religious rights of their fellow Christians who, upon carefully and prayerfully examining the scriptures, disagree with them about what those scriptures say...

I'm speaking of Mr. Frey, of course.

But then ignorance and outright lying is not a sin to these folks, is it?

AIDS is caused by a virus, Mr. Frey, not by "enzymes" and it is only a "gay" disease because it came into the US through the Dominican Republic which was a gay vacation mecca, of sorts at the time.

In many other parts of the world, it is a disease primarily of straight people, especially women who catch just as easily from their infected partners as do gay men...

Will do nothing to stop people like Kevin Peterson from choosing to pursue opposite-gender relationships after a time of finding same-gender relationships more attractive.

However, the likelihood that Mr. Peterson, despite being married and having children, for whom he is, quite likely, an excellent father,...

no longer feels stirrings of attraction for those of his own gender is slim to none;...

as we have seen from the multiple numbers of strident leaders of the ex-gay...

I can't help but wonder whether this weekly rock concert worship of 7-11 songs (praise choruses with seven words that you sing 11 - or 111 - times) will do the typical things such churches do,...

give their congregations the standard message,...

"Yippy, skippy, yea God! Isn't wonderful to be a Christian like we all are," then send them out with the promise that if they just be good boys and girls (and give enough money to the church) God will reward them with the fulfillment...

I would think that most of us would know enough to realize that the legislature is populated with human politicians.

Of course we voters refuse to actually elect any other kind of person to office,...

these being the days when taking a clear position on any issue is going to invite your opponents to try to stretch and shred that position until they have transmogfrified it into rope sufficient to hang you with.

That increases in the state's income tax, especially for the highest earners, result in increases in employment for average Minnesota workers and an increase in the incomes of those employed.

Meanwhile, it would seem that Minnesota's "Chamber of Commerce," on the state level is populated with people who believe that, despite their own massively higher than average incomes, someone ELSE must pay for all the infrastructures that make Minnesota a good place to locate their businesses....

The fact that "Minnesotans for (Straights-only) Marriage" folks can only come up with lies, misinformation and distortions, all long since proven to be false, to support their cause makes me sad.

I'm saddened that people who regard themselves to be sincere and sincerely religious, are so dominated by their doubts and fears about their own internal (and likely suppressed) sexual attractions, and those of their loved ones,...

and so insecure about their ability to honestly deal...

they REFUSE to follow,...

and it's going to take a lot of shoveling (and wasted legislative time and taxpayer $$$s) to get their B.S. amendments out of the way,...
