Well, just another reason to avoid the Strib. If they can do with fewer web views, more power to them.
Will this move states hell bent on execution to stop, or will it shift their focus back to less humane methods? My bet is on the latter.
I have to sympathize with him. As it is the Strib is giving us 7 days for the cost of weekends only, but I have been wondering if it isn't cheaper still to just pick up a copy of the Sunday off a news stand somewhere. Bottom line is the quality of the paper - the writing, the opinion, the coverage - has gone downhill lately and its retainedis more for the Sunday comics and ads than anything else.
The endorsement of Coleman should raise eyebrows. So does the continued employment...
There is a certain number of people who will always choose something seen to originate out of St. Paul over Minneapolis (or vice versa) no matter what, it seems the Pioneer Press may be approaching that floor from which point the only direction is up?
As the web discussion shows, print media is a shrinking market, and a lot of people who subscribe do so for reasons other than the paper itself - how many people are more interested in the Sunday Comics and the advertising supplements...
