On the dissolution of property issue, back in 1986 I bought a house with a women I was not married to. I think the term was "joint tenants in common" where, if one died the other got the house.

Men might have a higher degree of economic mobility, going where the jobs are compared to women. This can create a mindset.
It would be interesting to see if these studies are age and demographically bracketed. In an area with a stagnant to declining economy there may be more women due to public assistance. Relatively few single parent household headed by men in these areas.
Interesting details but the civil rights information is selective. Not even the Klu Klux Klan assassinated high public officials but the Symbionese Liberation Army assassinated Marcus Albert Foster, the first black superintendent of major school district.

I have tonsils and often get throat irritation but never get really sick.
If the demand was expected to go up why import poverty and "social problem form the rest of the USA and the the rest of the world to Minnesota. Perhaps our "poverty industry" thought this would be a way to generate more work in the poverty industry.
Minnesota already has the highest welfare spending as portion of budget of any state according to the Census.

Let me explain the process. On one side we have a crony white male mainstream media (think Nick Coleman, Jr.) who want to counter their "white skin guilt' by championing the cause of the impoverished and starving native american members of the Mystik Lake /casino tribes who see seem somehow, despite their minority oppression lavish huge monies to many legislators who are told to oppose the Los Angelese Vikings". With the caveat that this is benchmark wholesale USA natural gas is is down to $3 per thousand cubic feet/one-million BTU. To compare this to (untaxed) fuel oil/diesel fuel this is under forty cents per gallon btu equivalent for benchmark WHOLESALE natural gas versus (untaxed) heating fuel oil/diesel.
As they say "your mileage may vary" but CNBC lists the wholesale benchmark price of fuel oil as $2.90 per gallon. (hint: again this is wholesale benchmark but fuel oil costs more than...

I tend to be "conservative" and MinnPost leans towards the left. That said, Minnpost has been very fair when it comes to my postings. I would say under 1% rejected. So few I can't even remember them.
