MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
At this time in Minnesota's political history, it might be difficult for a Republican to succeed Gov. Tim.
Is Entenza a Scandinavian? His wife was in Norway recently touting the midnight sun. And presumably revving up the heritage that in the past has been essential to being elected governor of Minnesota.
Does anybody know how much Joe makes? From the story, it sounds like he gets a lot more from KSTP Radio than from the Pioneer Press.
The sloppy editing to which Mr. Brauer refers is typical of the deterioration of the Minneapolis daily newspaper. Anything you can think of is bad, and getting worse: Some, not all, writing; inept editing; dumb headlines; horrid retouching of photographs.
Poignant; not mauldin. Sincere good wishes that all goes well for you.
It is beyond my comprehension why anyone who is not a multi-millionaire would vote for a Republican.
Perhaps the lead could have begun:
"The deep history and remarkable cultural diversity of the area probably remain a mystery to most of us."
President Obama wears such nice neckties. Does he wear each one only once? And then give it away?
The Pioneer Press recently had -- and maybe still has -- a promotion fore people in Dakota County to subscribe for $1 a yer -- yes, one dollar for a year's subscription. Could you check this out and find out how much of the minuscule growth in circulation can be attributed to virtually giving away the newspaper?
Bernice makes a good point about the Sunday paper deleting its weekly TV magazine. I'm not pleased that they don't have Dear Abby; I read her on the Internet. The main reason for a newspaper, I know, is supposed to be news. But there are features that everyone likes, and each person probably has a different list of what they like. In my opinion, the Star Tribune contains an excessive amount of drivel.
