MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
"While I have not violated any laws or Senate rules, nor misused any state funds or property,..."
Actually Mr.s Koch probably did violate the law.
Minnesota Statute 609.36 says that a married woman guilty of adultery may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than one year or to payment of a fine of not more than $3,000, or both.
That's interesting that Michelle Bachman would go on record favoring a tax increase on business.
Don't overlook former Congressman Rick Nolan. He is on record as considering a run in the old 8th. (He lives in Crosslake.)
David, I live in the woods where the cable company will not come and where satellite is blocked by trees. Call me a Luddite if you wish but those options are not available. OTA television is the only choice in my neighborhood.
I saw the piece on BMTN. What struck me was how bad Frank's lisp has become. Most of the time on camera, one can barely detect it but in this package it was downright annoying.
David,

Collins also seemed to be blaming Ritchie for the close outcome of the election. That whole interview struck this viewer as weird and terribly unprofessional.
No one test can measure student ability or teacher effectiveness? Your entire premise is flawed and poorly reasoned. Student ability and teacher effectiveness can be measured. Just because NCLB doesn't really accomplish it does not mean it cannot be done.
Dan, in fact, 61 percent of Teach For America corps members continue to teach beyond their two-year corps commitment.
This retention rate is similar to retention estimates for other new teachers in low-income communities. 44 percent of TFA members remained in their placement schools beyond their two-year commitment.

When will these stations save some real money by axing the second anchor? If I was ND, I'd rather have another reporter and photog to deploy than 2 newsreaders on the set each night.
